About me
Anas is a Library and Information Science professional having more than a decade of work experience in libraries of prominent institutions. He joined JGU Global Library in 2019. Prior to this he had worked as a Library Professional Assistant at Library of Birla Institute of Management Technology (BIMTECH), Greater Noida, Professional Assistant at NCERT Library, New Delhi and as Project Fellow in the project entitled “Development of Textbook Archive at NCERT” respectively. He was Library Intern at Library, IGNOU, New Delhi and also served at Nehru Memorial Museum and Library, Teen Murti House, New Delhi.
Anas holds Master’s in library and Information Science (M.L.I.S) from University of Delhi. He has a Bachelor’s in library and information Science from Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi and a Bachelor’s Programme from Zakir Husain P.G. Evening College, University of Delhi. He has done Diploma in Translation Proficiency in English and Diploma in Uzbek Language from Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi and had Qualified UGC-NET Exam (In Library Science).
He actively participates in conferences/seminars/workshops, etc. related to the profession and had also participated in few important computers based and other training programs for Library Professionals in India offered by CSIR-NISCAIR, New Delhi along with one Year Diploma in Computer Applications from DOEACC Centre.
As a Library professional he is involved in Research and Publications Management, Publications Meta-Data Services, Anti-Plagiarism Services, Library Acquisitions, Technical and Circulation Services and have working knowledge of library management software’s including KOHA, LIBSYS, NGL, SOUL, Vidya and digital repository packages such as Dspace, E-prints etc.
In Oct 2020 he was awarded Certificate of Excellence for “Outstanding contribution to administration during the year 2019-2020” by C. Raj Kumar, Vice Chancellor, O.P. Jindal Global University.
He received Certificate of Appreciation for valuable contribution to the establishment of “BIMTECH Pustakalaya” in different Jails of Uttar Pradesh from Ranganathan Society for Social Welfare & Social Welfare and IPS, ADG Prisons, Uttar Pradesh in 2019. Anas was awarded the Gold Medal and a Certificate for securing first position in the “Diploma in Uzbek Examination” 2009 from Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi and awarded the Gold Medal and a Certificate of Special Effort in recognition of the outstanding social service rendered to alleviate the sufferings of the cancer patients as a volunteer in the “Mass Awareness Campaign against Cancer” in the year 2000 by The Cancer Aid Society, Rohini, Delhi.
