About me
Meghna is a recent addition to the Global Library Team, having recently graduated from Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), Manipal with a Master’s degree in Library and Information Science. She has her Bachelor’s in English, Political Science, and History (Triple Major) from Christ (Deemed to be University), Bangalore. She has also done a stint of short-term internships in various fields, including librarianship, museology and heritage research.
Constantly traversing between the reality and the fiction, her love for books brought her into the realm of library and information science. She has a profound interest in archival and digital spaces, oral and cultural traditions, lived-in memories and spaces and hopes to explore all of them keeping librarianship in mind. She is fairly proficient in several library software, including Koha, Eprints, Turnitin, Ebsco Discovery Service tool, medical and nursing databases, and bibliographic databases. Her most recent research focused on the ‘Perception of Plagiarism’ among research scholars at MAHE. She has also worked on ‘Comfort Women’ from WWII, focusing on ideas of military institutions, forms of control and sexual slavery.
Filter coffee in hand, she enjoys reading graphic novels and manga, cooking obscure recipes and watching movies. She hopes to make wonderful memories and contribute her worth to both the Global Library and JGU.
