About me
Mr. Jayaram Gouda is a librarian at the Global Library, O.P. Jindal Global University (JGU), Sonipat. He has over twenty years of experience in the library profession, having worked in various libraries with diverse responsibilities and positions. Most of his experience comes from working in academic libraries, with some exposure to special and public libraries as well.
Before joining JGU, Mr. Gouda held the position of Deputy Librarian at the Rai Business School in Delhi. Prior to that, he served as an Assistant Librarian at MMCF, City Palace Udaipur, a Library Officer at Rai University in Delhi, and a senior project assistant at Udhvab Computers Pvt. Ltd and Central Secretariat Library (TLS), Ministry of culture, Government of India.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in History and a master’s degree in Library and Information Science (MLIS) from Berhampur University, Odisha. Throughout his career, he has been involved in various projects and initiatives, such as Library KOHA automation integrated with RFID Technology, Institutional Repository Dspace, Digital Library Services, E-resources and database procurement and management, Anti-plagiarism Support service, research support services, and virtual reference services. Mr. Gouda also possesses a good understanding of digital resource acquisition, negotiation, management, and evaluation process.
